A while back, I told you all that I was going to split off the erotica and put them under a slightly different pen name, to make it clear to readers what genre they are getting when they pick up a new book.
Brilliant! You say, good idea, yes, because if you love romance, you may NOT want to read a Taboo erotica and vice versa. So, makes sense. I’m not hiding either pen from the other, however, just trying to distinguish what you’re getting yourself into. Right?
Well…this is where is all goes bad! When I selected the name Anna Scott, I used something that spoke to me, they are actually family names, were easy to spell AND there weren’t any other romance/erotica writers using that name currently.
You know what I DIDN’T do? I didn’t check when I started to use A.V. Total screw up, and I’d like to take this moment to sincerely apologize to the original A.V. Scott, I haven’t spoken to her and I assume she doesn’t even know I’ve made this mistake, but if she ever learns of it, I seriously apologize!
So, now, here’s the thing, I’m going to pull all the erotica back under Anna Scott. The last thing I ever want to do is make anyone frustrated with something I’m doing, or to think I’m trying to sponge off their success.
Since I’d only gotten a few of the books switched over, this will be a pretty quick process, I should have it done by the end of the weekend. I will add “An Erotic Novella” to each cover, which will hopefully be enough for readers to distinguish between the two genres.
Thank you all so much for your patience, your support and your encouragement as I find my way in this new world.
